MONEY IS THE ONE TRUE RELIGION

Business is War. The marketplace is a battlefield. The war rages every single minute. At every corner of the globe. The war for market share. The war for money.

A vast majority of our laws are related to money. Taxes, Alimony, Child Support, Fines, Penalties, Interest, Restitution, Punitive damages, Compensation, Consideration, how much do you owe? How much are you worth?

When you support something, it usually isn’t referring to ideology. What country gets financial aid? What country gets a tariff on the goods they sell? How much did Biden get from China? How much did Trump pay in taxes? How much will the stimulus check be? How much will I get paid?

When you are self-employed, or if you run a business, you get a real taste of the cutting edge of the marketplace. The sharp end. People further down the ladder at big companies or who work for the government or in education don’t really understand what it’s like.

It’s Darwinian. The strong survive and the weak don’t. Period. Perseverance, hard work, strong moral business ethic are what you need to win. Right? Wrong. Lying, cheating, and stealing.
Nobody cares why or how. It just matters that you got the account.

Internationally, money is the universal language. Enemies can become friends. Enemies can become family. The person or organization that is paying you believes in you.

Wait a minute. Money isn’t God. I’m a catholic/protestant/muslim…. etc. That collection plate is an integral part of you worship service. Those preachers on television have a call line that is just waiting for your credit card number.

Charities of course, are pure. They don’t make any money. They give it all to the cause, right? Non-profit companies still pay salaries based on revenue. I mean donations.

“For just twenty dollars a month, you can save these children/families/refugees/dogs/cats/….name your favorite cause here.”

With enough consideration, almost anyone will do almost anything. Different people draw the line somewhere. But, you can end someone’s life. You can rent love. You can live in a palace. You can travel in sybaritic luxury. You can ruin someone, or you can save someone. With enough money, you can buy someone a new life.

A last will and testament is a final prayer. How you want your blessings bestowed. If you don’t have a will, there are laws in every state and country that spell out specifically who is bestowed what.

Now pay me. Amen.
